Questions We Hear a Lot
Far infrared saunas use infrared panels to warm the body directly rather than heating the surrounding air, which means they typically reach a comfortable operating temperature faster and run at lower ambient heat than a traditional steam sauna. Many people find the experience easier to sit with for longer sessions. All of the infrared saunas in our collection use carbon or carbon mica panels designed to distribute heat evenly throughout the cabin.
EMF stands for electromagnetic field, which is emitted at some level by all electrical heating elements. Low-EMF infrared saunas are built with panels engineered to keep those emissions well below standard thresholds, making them a more comfortable choice for extended daily use at home. If this is a priority for you, look for it specifically in the product details before purchasing.
Most two- and three-person home saunas require a dedicated footprint roughly equivalent to a large closet or a small spare room corner — typically somewhere between 35 and 55 square feet of floor space, plus a few inches of clearance on each side for ventilation. Each product listing includes exact assembled dimensions, so it is worth measuring your intended space before ordering. A standard 120V household outlet is usually all that is needed for infrared models.

About Our Saunas
A home sauna has moved well beyond a luxury reserved for spas and high-end resorts. Today, well-designed infrared and traditional sauna cabins are built specifically for residential use — compact enough to fit a spare room or finished basement, and straightforward enough for a homeowner to assemble without specialist tools. Infrared models in particular have grown popular for everyday home use because they operate efficiently, heat up quickly, and are available in a range of sizes that comfortably seat one to several people. When choosing a home sauna, the most important factors to consider are cabin size and the number of occupants you want to accommodate, the type of wood used in construction, the heating technology and panel quality, EMF output ratings, and how the unit connects to your existing electrical setup. Cedar and hemlock are both widely respected for their natural resistance to moisture and their ability to hold up over years of regular heat cycling. A well-chosen home sauna is a long-term addition to your living space — one worth selecting carefully based on real specifications rather than price alone.
